Walked in on a busy Fri night and was able to get a table for 4 . My waitress was very kind and accommodating. The cheese and crackers are a cool touch. Everyone's food was very good. My lobster corn chowder was delicious with one huge piece of lobster I broke up into a bunch of smaller bites with the soup. My steaktips were flavorful and cooked perfect. I would definitely return. The complimentary white chocolate with the bill is fun too.
The food delicious! We had the Asian bowl, veggies burger and the southwestern chicken. The today’s special dessert was pretty nice too. The crackers and cheese is always a good touch! The original, Ashland one is just better.
We happened to be going through the area and stopped here for dinner. What a pleasant surprise! Everything was amazing!!! The inside is charming with a cute New England theme, the service was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and checked up on us often, but not too often so we didn’t feel rushed. They went above and beyond to check if any of our food had mushrooms since my mom has a severe allergy. They brought us a basket of bread which had rolls and a sweet strawberry bread which we were told is the “bread of the day”. This was interesting but very nice. The strawberry bread was sweet but that’s fine with me. They also had cheese dips and crackers for customer to take. Those were also pretty good though I felt a bit awkward walking up to the front for them. We ordered the pork belly corn bread to start and each got soups. I had the french onion and my mom had the soup of the day which was beef and vegetable. The soups were perfect on what was a rainy day. The corn bread was delicious and the pork belly was cooked perfect. It was an interesting combo that we really enjoyed. For dinner I had a burger and my mom had the pot roast. The burger tasted great, it had a nice backyard bbq flavor which i love. It was a good size too. The pot roast was also excellent. The veggies tasted fresh and the meat was so tender. They offered us white chocolate after our meal, which I found odd but was very nice. They brought us broken up pieces with the check. Overall, everything was wonderful and the price was right! I wish we had a place like this near us
The Greater Merrimack Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce recently held our Board of Directors Retreat at The Common Man in Merrimack. We had a great experience from the service to the food and atmosphere! Their team did an incredible job! Thank you to The Common Man!
Great lunch and wait staff made this a very enjoyable lunch. We had the bronco burger with the house potato salad.. it was perfectly cooked to order and tasted wonderful! We plan on going back when we are up there next.
3rd time being here and as always service was great. Food delicious. We had the escargot appetizer and we both ordered the Grill Room Steak. Asked to be cooked medium rare and it was. The flavoring was delightful vegetables and mash potatoes were tasty.
I had the Nantucket pie. My daughter had the kids Mac with marinara. The Nantucket pie was good and well made, but a little on the bland side flavor wise. The rice and asparagus were very good. I honestly expected a little more for the price. My daughter loved the pasta, which was cavatappi. We had the lemon blueberry cake for dessert and it was excellent The staff were kind, and the service was quick and timely.
While shopping at the Merrimack Outlets in New Hampshire, we decided to grab a quick bite and stopped at The Common Man, not expecting much since it was one of the closest options. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! The restaurant is housed in an old building, giving it an extremely quaint and country-like atmosphere. Finding the entrance was a bit tricky, but once inside, we were greeted by a very attentive hostess and promptly seated. The menu is extensive and impressive. Our waiter, Jesse, was outstanding, treating us like royalty with his recommendations for drinks and dishes. The food was superb, making the entire experience exceptionally enjoyable, especially considering we had just stopped by on a whim. After this visit, I’d gladly drive 45 minutes just to dine here again. The atmosphere, service, and menu were all outstanding, and we were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. It was probably one of the best meals we had as a family in a long time. I would strongly recommend and will definitely be coming back.
